Tim Rufus McCullough Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
On the 21st of November 2021, my younger brother, Tim, ran in the Philadelphia marathon in support of cancer and in support of my own fight with cancer earlier this year. His medal on completing the marathon had a miniature version of the Liberty bell which he rang with enthusiasm when we spoke after he finished. He was so very proud and my mum and I are so very proud of him still.
Later that evening, Tim went to sleep and had a cardiac event and didn't wake up. He was just 42 years old. My mother, Juliette and myself are devastated by his loss and cannot make sense of how we will live our lives without him.
To continue Tim's legacy as a caring, inspired teacher and talented pianist, we're launching the Tim Rufus McCullough Music Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is being set up to enable underserved young pianists to financially support their music education.
Tim was born into a very classically musical and artistic family and began to study piano as a child with our dad, Charles McCullough as his first teacher. Later in his schooling he studied piano with Tamas Ungar, Nancy Garrett and Ruth Laredo. Tim loved teaching and performing. This scholarship would make him very happy to know that it could help a student with a passion for music.
Please help us by sharing this fundraiser and donating what you can in the hope of helping someone like my wonderful little brother, Tim.
Thank you so much for your kind messages, love and support.
