Tim and his family are lifelong residents of North Shore Drive in Crystal Lake, Illinois.   Tim has not only grown up here, he raised his own family here, and volunteered his entire adult life on the association board to ensure a safe, welcoming, family community.  On October 24th TIm, as he has done for decades, was keeping an eye on the neighborhood when he saw something suspicious. Instantaneously he did the most heroic act and put himself in harm's way to protect his neighbors in what turned out to be a life threatening altercation.

Tim was attacked, stabbed numerous times, and his attacker fled the scene.  He was flown by Flight for Life to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he still remains and continues his fight in the unforeseen road to recovery.

Family, friends, and community members are asking for help to support Tim and his family during this difficult time as medical expenses mount.  Everyone is working together to help the O’Neill family so they can focus on Tim and his health, and not worry about the financial burden brought on by this horrific attack.
