Help Tim Milligan get the cancer treatment he can't afford.

My dear friend Tim Milligan is facing a battle that no one should have to fight alone. Tim has lived with prostate cancer for over a decade. He’s endured surgery, radiation, hormone therapy, and countless side effects. Now, he’s being denied access to the one treatment that could give him more time—and he needs our help.

Tim was diagnosed in 2014, at age 60, after a routine PSA test. What followed was a year of dismissals, delays, and invasive procedures. Eventually, a biopsy confirmed cancer, and Tim underwent a radical prostatectomy. The surgery was far from ideal—the cancer had already spread beyond the prostate capsule.

Recovery was brutal. Incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and emotional exhaustion became daily realities. But Tim adapted. He found humour in the discomfort, strength in his relationships, and hope in every undetectable PSA result.

Over the years, Tim’s PSA levels began to climb again. Diagnosed with castration-resistant metastatic prostate cancer, Radiation therapy followed—33 sessions over 7 weeks—but the cancer persisted. Hormone therapy came next, first in Norway, then in South Korea, where Tim had taken a job. The treatment worked—briefly. But the side effects were devastating: tachycardia, hot sweats, insomnia, fatigue, loss of libido, muscle deterioration, and a constant sense of malaise.

Tim has exhausted all treatment options available in Norway. The only therapies that offer real hope—PSMA Lutetium-177 and PSMA Actinium-225—are not available in Norwegian hospitals. Worse still, the Norwegian health system refuses to fund treatment abroad, even when no alternatives exist.

Despite all this, Tim kept going. He brewed beer, played golf, went fishing, and kept working. But now, his options are running out. Golf is a struggle with the remints of Chemo; he has no longer feeling in his feet which means he also cannot drive anymore.

These therapies are well-established across Europe and Scandinavia, and while long-term data is still emerging, current evidence shows they extend life and preserve quality of life with minimal side effects. For patients like Tim, they represent a chance—not just to survive, but to live.

But Tim is being forced to sell his home to afford private treatment. This is not just a personal tragedy—it’s a systemic failure. Norway claims to offer world-class healthcare, yet when patients reach the limits of domestic treatment, they are told that palliative care and painkillers are all that remain. In Tim’s case, this means being denied a chance at life because the cost of care is deemed too high.

We believe that every life is worth fighting for. We’re raising funds to help Tim access the treatment he needs—and to shine a light on the many others in Norway who are quietly being denied care. If this story reaches the media, it could help countless others who are suffering in silence.

Your support will go directly toward:
• Medical treatment abroad (Lu177 or Ac225)
• Travel and accommodation
• Post-treatment recovery
• Preserving Tim’s home and dignity

Please consider donating, sharing, and standing with Tim. Together, we can give him—and others like him—a fighting chance.
