Help Tim Kavanagh Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Tim continues to fight an inspiring battle against a "shitty" cancer with the unwavering support of his partner, Candy. But even as they share uplifting messages about their fight for a long future together, they are faced with overwhelming expenses related to Tim's cancer treatment and recovery, even with health insurance. Tim has been enduring a brutal but effective chemotherapy treatment, and the next step is daily radiation at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan--starting December 12 and ending on January 1. Surgery will follow in early 2019. You can imagine the expense of living in Manhattan for 2-3 weeks during the holidays, not to mention meals, travel, etc. They will be there even longer for Tim's surgery and recovery in the spring. Tim forgoes 1/3 of his salary when he goes on short-term disability and Candy has to step away entirely from her own business in order to be his caregiver, so their income plunges just when they need it most. Tim and Candy are the kind of folks who offer help instead of asking for it, but just a little bit from a lot of their friends can help them focus on Tim's recovery instead of worrying about money. Any amount helps!
