**EDIT** We have nearly reached our initial goal for Tim!!! Many thanks to all that have contributed to that goal! Since recovery is expected to take a few months, we are going to bump up to a secondary goal of $7,500 to continue to help Tim during this life-altering time. **
Hi, my name is Joe Meehan. Tim Howell and I have been good friends since we attended Walkersville High School, 38 years ago. Tim is going through some unexpected medical issues that will require significant recovery efforts. He has just started down that difficult path.
Tim is a Pittsburgh native, a Steelers fan, and a long-time resident of the Frederick County area of Maryland. In a former life, Tim was a nurse focused on the aging and infirm in the home healthcare industry. In recent years, Tim has pursued his interest in all things mechanical and motorsports by becoming a Snap-On Tool franchisee, first in Oregon, then in Hagerstown, Maryland, and now in Tennessee.
Tim is very proud of his parents; his deceased father Elmer, a USMC Korean war era veteran, and his long-suffering (due to Tim's lifelong antics) dear mother, Lorraine. Tim's life revolves around his family, his friends (which include his clients), and his German Shepherd, Knox.
As you may very well know, Tim has a larger-than-life personality. He is a bit of a contrarian and enjoys saying outrageous things and stating outrageous replies and opinions just to push people's buttons for light-hearted entertainment. Tim enjoys laughing, goofing around, B.S.-ing, and playing with his dog. Always ready for a good fun time, he is a strong and loyal friend, a solid community member with a big heart and he is quick with a helpful hand. Now he needs our helping hand.
We would appreciate any contributions or efforts you might make to assist Tim with the unexpected expenses of his treatment and recovery. Please spread the word about this gofundme.
