Tim Hartwig & Family

Tim has been a friend of mine for over 30 years. We went to high school together, went to college together, had an apartment together and have vacationed together with our families.
Like everyone, he's had some ups and downs in his life, but has endured.
Recently, he has found himself in the unimaginable position of having suffered a house fire in April 2018 and losing a many of his and his children's belongings. To add to that stress, he has found himself fighting for his freedom, reputation and family, after having been indicted on charges of arson. I and many other of his friends find this charge to be absurd and completely out of character for him. We are not judging him, as that is for the courts to do. However, we are standing by him and his family for support, which is the main purpose of this account - to allow his family to be provided for during this time of turmoil, as another fallout is that he lost his job. His employer praised him for his work, even going so far as to call him " The Bobby Fischer of his craft.", yet they still let him go with zero severance.
Not only is Tim and his family having to fight and defend himself in the court of law, but they are also having to do the same outside of it, in public opinion. In this day and age of social media, online bullying and the new norm of guilty until proven innocent, he and his children, ages 11 and 9, are being denigrated in social media, by the prosecutor no less, and now fear for his safety and that of their children.
Tim and his family could really use any and all help to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety of financial factors that are currently present and to come in the near future.
I know he and his family will appreciate the love, support, prayers and encouragement as they all move through this process.
