My father in law, Tim Griffin suffered a massive stroke while riding his Harley through Athens with his wife and friends Saturday July 2nd. He was rushed to St. Mary's where he underwent emergency surgery to remove two blood clots, one in his carotid artery and the other in his brain. Surgery was a succes, however upon waking up he has some paralysis on his right side as well as being unable to speak. The hardest part is over but now the long road to recovery begins. Tim is currently in the ICU at St. Mary's and will undergo another surgery in the following days to place a stint in his carotid artery.
