Hi, my name is Anna Graves, I am the youngest daughter of Tim (& Denice) Graves. Last June, my dad was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Since June he has completed an 8-week round of radiation and chemotherapy here in Sioux City, IA. The goal of that treatment was to remove the tumor, but sadly his tumor was not affected positively by the treatment, so on to the next options and treatment we went. In the second treatment, in the somewhat same scenario, the tumor was not shrinking as it should so now we are at somewhat of a standstill. We are going to the Pamela and Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska, Wednesday, March 21st. In Omaha, we hope to get more answers and forms of treatment. That is the short story at least.

Since June, my dad has obviously had to stop working, causing financial stress with disability and social security (they don't make it easy that's for sure!). My mom is luckily still able to work but is slowly losing her PTO and vacation. FMLA does kick in as well but that is also another hassle. I am luckily able to help out with appointments as I work from home and have the flexibility. My sister, Sam lives in Denver, CO, and is doing her best to come back as much as possible, but that does not take away the constant medical bills coming their way.

I am hoping to raise some money to relieve both my parents of some medical bills, so they can focus on my dad's health rather than finances. I will update this page as much as I can. Just wanted to say thank you to my family on both my mom and dad's side for helping and doing all they can. As many of you may know, my dad is a stubborn guy and he would have a few choice words for me if he knew I was making this, so please don't reach out regarding this GoFundMe for my sake (haha!).
