Tim Goodwin's Open Heart Surgery

Donation protected
My husband Tim was diagnosed 15 years ago with a bicuspid aortic valve in his heart. Normally, this type of defect doesn't cause a problem until much later in life. Tim's new doctor wanted to run some scans to check on his valve and discovered a large aneurysm in his aorta. The only way to repair it is to have open heart surgery. His cardiologist is concerned about the size of the aorta so  he will have surgery on November 12th, 2020. This diagnosis was a blessing to find out now so we can act quickly.

The truth is that we were completely unprepared for this diagnosis. Tim is an Electrician's Apprentice at SMSI in Springfield, Missouri. He only has 1 week of vacation time saved up since he started this job in early March. I am an art teacher at Republic High School in Republic, Missouri. I need to save as many days-off as possible due to the pandemic so that I can keep teaching my art students face-to-face every day.

Tim was required to have 5 different scans and tests over the past month that were very expensive. Also, he will not be able to work as an electrician for 6 weeks after his surgery due to the nature of his job. The funds you donate will help us get through the next 2 months and pay for the medical bills. We need help soon so we can make ends meet. God has blessed Tim and I with so much in our lives and we are thankful for anything you can contribute along with your thoughts and prayers.
