Tim Gardner End of Life Expenses

Donation protected
My dad, Tim Gardner, died in his sleep, somewhat unexpectedly on May 29th, 2017.

He had diabetes, and advanced heart disease, but had been strictly dieting and execersizing ever since the operation he had two years ago where the doctors gave him 2-5 years to live if he didn't make any changes. Despite numerous changes, He didn't even make it that far.

He has been tirelessly taking care of my mom as she faced her battle with dialsysis and a gastric bypass to allow her to get a kidney, and no one, not even he noticed that he was fading out.

Because of the sudden nature of his death, and the fact that both of them were on disability for the past several years, they had no access to any kind of life insurance, death insurance, nor were they allowed to have any kind of real savings. This, combined with years of medical bills and medicines, meant that they lived pay check to pay check til today.

After 30 years of service as a nurse and as a tireless advocate for others, I think he deserves a nice memorial celebration, and would very much want mom to be able to float through the transition to living without him, without worrying about his various creditors and accounts. She also has to transition to a life with almost all the same bills, but about half the income.

Anything helps, and we appreciate your consideration and your prayers.
