My dad has always been my role model for how to live a healthy active lifestyle. From his organic whole foods diet, daily excercise regimen of cycling, weights, yoga and meditation, I always imagined he would live to be 100.

So it was with great surprise to all of us when, at age 68, he was informed that he has a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.

He keeps saying, "They got the wrong guy, they must have mixed my chart up with someone else." He doesn't feel like he has cancer, he still works full time, has energy and does his workout routine, which often includes a 16 mile bike ride.

Over the past 8 months he has been undergoing immunotherapy, which, for some, triggers the immune system to beat the cancer and can result in a complete healing.

So far, though, it hasn't been working for him, and his last tests indicate that the cancer has started to spread to his liver.  He also just found out that he does not have a certain genetic marker for a mutation that would allow another type of therapy, an oral chemotherapy, to work.

Seeing that there seem to be fewer and fewer allopathic options, my dad wants to do a 3 week detoxification and rebuilding program at a wellness center in Arizona. It consists of flooding the body daily with nutrients from about 15 lbs. of organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables daily. They offer advanced nutritional therapies to support the detoxification process. As a result of detoxification and increased oxygenation, cellular regeneration of all organs occurs, in particular that of the liver, and the immune system to restore them to its optimal function.

Of course, this is NOT covered by his insurance. It costs $15,000,which would cover air fare and herbal adjuncts, and specific intravenous therapies.

I wish I had the money to help him do this intensive retreat, but the best I can do is try to raise it. He would need to go as soon as possible.  Although on the outside my dad appears healthy, all tests reveal an aggressively moving cancer. This is a situation that now feels urgent, especially in the light that he has a lot of vitality at this time, which could only serve to help the healing process.

We would be extremely grateful for any support.

Thank you in advance,
Eva
