Tim "DUNNY" Dunlap
CANCER TREATMENT/RECOVERY!!
Cancer has struck one of our own AGAIN.....in 2011 Dunny and his wife Cindy had a beautiful daughter by the name of Laila. 1 year later to the month Cindy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 36. After 8 weeks of Chemo and 33 treatments of radiation, she beat it!!
Now the Dunlap family has to start fighting again.
Dunny has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Throat that Metastasized to the Neck. Due to the severity and location of the cancer, they are unable to do surgery and will have to pray for the Chemo and Radiation to work…..
I’m ignorant to how all this works but after talking to Dunny and his wife Cindy….the way I understand it due to the location, he will have to see a dentist to have any cavities or fillings extracted. Then he will start Chemo and Radiation concurrently, this treatment could alter his speech and swallowing for life. After a couple weeks, he probably won’t be able to swallow so they’ll have to insert a feeding tube.
As you all know, Port Dawgs don’t roll over and die….we fight….Dunny is in good spirits but he’s about to start the fight of his life.
Dunny works for a small company in Minnesota and they’re willing to work with him but he has no sick leave and will have to take this time off, UNPAID.
This is where we need to step in….ANYTHING helps….I know people are trying to prepare for Christmas for their families, but Dunny is our family….one person can’t take this on alone, but we have strength in numbers!!
So dig deep into those pockets, pick the lint and gum wrappers out……and PLEASE HELP!!!!
