Tim Dowd Memorial Fund

As you know, Tim Dowd passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2020.  He was a Technical Support Engineer for BMW of North America where he gave nearly 16 years of service. He was a great friend to many, and most of all a loving father.  He is survived by his daughter, McKenna.

McKenna is 20 years old and attends the University of Toledo. She will be entering her Junior year of college and is majoring in Psysics.  100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to McKenna to help with her continued education along with the many expenses that the family is faced with during this tragic time.

For those of you that knew Tim, one thing was certain: he loved his daughter more than anything.  We want him to rest peacefully knowing his friends and colleagues have taken this generous gesture to ensure McKenna is cared for now, and in the days to come.


A little about Tim:

Tim's dream at the age of 18 was to work for BMW. He started out as a technician before he came to BMW of North America as a Technical Support Engineer. He was a coach and mentor to all of his colleagues and many people looked up to him. His passion and willingness to learn is something that was apparent to all who interacted with Tim.

Outside of the office, Tim was an avid music fan with an extensive collection of guitars. He also enjoyed going to concerts with McKenna.  In his spare time, he liked doing home projects around the house and going on walks with his dog Jazzy. Many vacations included salmon fishing in local rivers and streams as well as in up-state New York. He also spent much of his free time at his family cabin in Michigan hunting and fishing. 

Rest Peacefully My Friend. We will miss you more than you'll ever know.
