In Memory of Tim Collie

Donation protected

Tim Collie's sudden passing is a devastating loss for all in his community. In so many lives, Tim was an anchor, a source of joy, a mentor, and a cherished friend.

Anyone who knew Tim would tell you how the stories he told -- and he always had a good story to tell! -- always made you laugh. You’d hear how he cared for others and how he could keep his cool under stress, which is why was he loved in helping to make large festivals safer for participants. Tango Charlie -- as he was known to the organizers and attendees of the Burning Man arts festival -- was one of the longest serving volunteers of the Black Rock Rangers, where he patrolled and operated as part of the Command Staff. He was due to be honored this year for 20 years of service in helping shape what it means to be a Ranger, and for helping keep the community safe. Tim’s community of friends was large, but it was small in comparison to all the people he cared for who never knew him directly.

In the morning of June 11th, Tim passed away in his sleep after having struggled the last few years with his health.

Tim leaves behind his sister, mother, and many friends who will never stop missing him. We ask your support in helping raise funds for Tim's family to cover funerary and medical expenses. Any additional funds raised will be donated to his mother who he loved and cared for dearly.

This campaign will be administered by Juan-Carlos Foust and Dave LaMacchia. Please reach out to us with any of your questions or concerns.
