I'm reaching out to you beacuse, I'm starting this GOFUNDME for
Tim Sokoloski, who is my neighbor and family friend. He is a self employed contractor and Connecticut native who loves to help his town and LOVES fishing. Tim is also a veteran having served in the United States Navy as a Seabee.
Tim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma, which is a type of Non Hodgkins lymphoma Cancer, comprising about 6% of NHL cases.
Tim was informed this is a RARE lymphoma with roughly 15,000 people out of the 325.7 million in the United States having this type of Cancer. Tim's treatments will be ongoing for at least a minimum of 3 years. Currently Tim is doing chemotherapy in which he has had some tough reactions too.
Although Tim is in pain, fatigued and has lost a lot of muscle mass, Tim still continues to help the neighborhood with plowing our driveways when he can.
Tim's wife Val works a 32 hours per week job and is doing the best she can with maintaining the household bills. Tim has been to weak and tired to continue doing the strenuous work he use to do and Val can not afford to maintain the household expenses. Tim and Val are very strong minding and caring people who wont ask for help, but are really struggling financially since December of last year.
Anyone who knows Tim is fully aware he will give you the shirt off his back if you ask for it. I ask everyone to PLEASE contribute any thing to this cause today, tomorrow next month or as long as this page is available. All proceeds will help Tim and his family a great deal and go directly into their account.
