Tim's brain surgery and recovery

Donation protected
In February 2019, Tim began having headaches and sleeping a lot.  This was not normal for Tim and he went to see the doctor.  In March 2019 Tim was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Tim had surgery on April 30th  to remove the tumor.   The surgeon was able to remove the tumor, but due to the nature of the surgery we were told we would need to wait to see how he recovered over the next few days. He woke up later that evening and appeared to be doing extremely well.   There did not seem to be any brain damage caused by the surgery.

By the 4th day after surgery, he began sleeping most of the day and was disoriented. After another CT scan,  doctors found air in his skull from a leak somewhere,  This meant he would need another surgery to fix the leak. This surgery went well also, however he continues to be tired and disoriented at times.

A third surgery, was performed two weeks after his first,  to remove  the packing that helped stop the air from leaking into his skull.

After 3 surgeries and more then 2 weeks in the hospital, Tim was finally able to go home.  He has a long road to recovery in front of him. He will need to do  OT and other recovery services, over the next few months.

Tim's wife Dee stayed by his side, through all of the surgeries and physical issues.  She has been at the hospital during his entire stay  insuring  he received the best care and advocating for him, since he cannot do so for himself.  In addition, Dee has been dealing with all of the  paperwork involved with the hospital and Insurance company.
To add to the stress of diagnosis, surgery and recovery, Tim and Dee have been informed, the insurance company will not cover 2 of the 3 surgeries he has needed or any of his OT and other recovery services, while he is out of the hospital.

With medical bills and lost wages from Tim not being able to work during his recovery, the financial strain which has been placed on them is unfathomable.

From helping you put a roof on your house or build your cabin, Tim has always been there for friends, family and an occasional stranger. Any amount given is a blessing for Tim and Dee.
