Tim Bowers, proud Grandpa, artist, Boilermaker

Hello, I am Jessica. I am raising money for Tim Bowers. He is battling small cell carcinoma and suffering paraneoplastic autoimmune neurological disorder because of the cancer. Tim served overseas in the U.S. Army 1991-94; then attended some college but he is an artist and took up welding and has spent his time building machines and structure for industry from scaffolding to windmills for power then joined local 169 Boilermakers Union and enjoyed apprenticeing through 4 years almost to journyman until his speech started slurring and he was having trouble walking. We thought he had a stroke. He spent weeks in the hospital being tested on and released with "not sure". Then he was told it was looking like ALS but EMG didn't jive; after more months then a couple more weeks in the hospital for tests they located cancer and neoplastic autoimmune neurological connection. His family lives in Ohio and are doing everything they can to help him. Due to excessive beaurocracy and purposeful hoops we are navigating the system for money from government but even that won't dent the expense of appointments, travel, equipment, etc...
