My name is Tiffany Fager and I am the daughter of Tim Bledsoe.  For the last 20 + years my dad was known for driving a truck. Unfortunately, at the end of December right before Christmas he was laid off from his job and with that lost his insurance coverage. He was able to find another job, but sadly on January 15th, the day of the orientation, my dad passed away at work from what is believed to be a heart attack. There was no time to add him to the insurance policy. Dad had no additional life insurance, and like many others, was not planning for this.  All of the responsibility for the cost of the funeral or cremation, the service, the transportation of his body, everything falls to my brother and me to fully cover the expenses.  At this time, he is being held in Gary, Indiana and we are desperately trying to bring him home. Initially, it is going to cost $1,800 .00 to prepare him for transport and an additional $1,036.00 for mileage.  In order for us to have a funeral service and cremation, there is an additional fee of $3,500.00. If we are able to have a burial service the fee would be $8,000.00. My brother and I neither one were planning for this.  We expected Dad to be around for years to come.  Neither of us has the funds available to give him the funeral we so desperately would like to.  We are both trying to raise our own small children.  I am currently on unpaid maternity leave as I just had a baby 4 weeks ago.  This is all just so sudden and unexpected. My daddy was loved by many, known for his hard work ethic, and his ability to always make you laugh. He had the biggest heart of anyone I know and he would have given you the shirt off his back if he knew you didn't have one.  Those who knew him knew this to be true.  We kindly ask, if you can find it in your heart to donate, please help my brother and I lay our dad to rest as he wished. We are so desperately trying to avoid cremation as he preferred to be buried.  If you can't donate we also kindly ask for prayer.
