On Tuesday August 21 the town of Mazomanie Wisconsin received ten inches of rain in twelve hours, flooding a large portion of the town including my brother Tim and his family’s home.  The basement was completely flooded and he had two feet of water on the main floor completely destroying everything on the first two floors. They have flood insurance but it does not cover any contents of the home, leaving them to pay for all new furniture and clothing for themselves and the children. I’m sure you can imagine how expensive this will be, made worse by the fact that Trish ran a daycare out of their home and along with living in the house they have lost that income and are now a single income family of six.
