Tim and Lisa Zeman's Open Heart Surgery Fund
Donation protected
My Dad was diagnosed with Bicuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis on November 17th. He was in the hospital for a week undergoing a lot of testing and getting him stable enough to be able to undergo surgery. He will have open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve on December 10th. When he was diagnosed, my dad had just started a new job and he didn't have any benefits. After surgery, he will need to be off work for 3 months with no income. This fund will help them cover out of pocket medical expenses and lost wages during this time.
Bicuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis is a hereditary heart disease. My parents hope is that this diagnosis will not only save my dads life, but also future family members lives. Usually by the time this is discovered it is to late to save the person. Most of my dads family have not lived past the age of 60 due to heart failure, his dad passed at 47. Our family is beyond blessed because we found out about this BEFORE it was to late to save my dad and now that we know our family has this disease, the rest of the family, including myself, can get tested.
We will continue to update this page after surgery, as my dad goes through cardiac rehab, and recovers. It will be a long road, but my hope is that with your support we can help my parents through the financial part and give them one less thing to worry about.
Please share this page and help spread the word. We have had a lot of people ask what they can do to help, contributing to this fund will not only help them financially but it will also help ease the burden that comes from worrying about how they are going to cover medical costs and lost wages.
Thank you!
