I am not sure how many of you are aware, but Debbie has been diagnosed with stage-4 bone cancer, just after having surgery for breast cancer. She will not be seeking treatment as the doctors have given her 6-12 months.
She is currently at home and is non-ambulatory and requires 24/7 care. My dad is her main care taker and her 3 kids are helping the best they can. She is currently on palliative care though Kaiser, but they only asses the well being and prescription needs of their patients and stay for a very short time.
They need a nurse to come to the house to help my dad out, but it's $200-300 a day.
My hope is to help raise enough money so that my Dad and Debbie can have a nurse come at least a few times a week to help ease their stress and make things a little more comfortable with the time she has left.
