We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Mark (Tilt) Majernik on March 3rd at 9:14 p.m.

His loss has been a devastating shock to everyone who knew him, but no one more than his daughter, Courtney. Just weeks ago, in January, he was diagnosed with what doctors thought was pneumonia. But as time passed and his condition didn’t improve, more tests were done. Then, on February 20th, everything changed—he was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma that had already spread to his throat, lungs, and brain. In the blink of an eye, Courtney went from believing her father was battling a treatable illness to realizing she had only days left with him. She never left his side, holding his hand through every moment, and now she is left facing an unimaginable loss.

Tilt was one of a kind—kind, loving, and a little prickly, but always in a way that made you laugh. He had a sharp wit and a tough exterior, but beneath it all was a heart full of love for his family. He was not only a devoted father to Courtney but also a proud grandfather to Logan and Ava. He loved fishing, cracking jokes, and just being the good, genuine man he was.

Now, Courtney is not only grieving the sudden loss of her father, but she is also facing the overwhelming burden of medical bills and funeral expenses. No one should have to go through this alone.
