Transitioning has been so joyful and life changing already. Experiencing gender euphoria through wearing makeup, having hair again, and being able to access gender affirming medical care has been the most beautiful and affirming experience of my life ♡ It’s also super expensive ✩

Gender affirming surgery will significantly improve my quality of life and help me to feel truly right and comfortable in my body as I continue my transition. However, it is an aspect of gender affirmation that is extremely financially prohibitive. Accessing gender affirming care is already costly and can be particularly prohibitive for the dolls.

Surgery is no exception, as all gender affirming surgery in Australia is completely privately funded.

My costs will include preparation for surgery, the surgery itself, and the period of several months following surgery when I’ll be unable to work. ‍
