Our sweet Tilly Monster needs surgery! True to form, she badassed a little too hard and ended up tearing her Achilles tendon.
Anyone who knows Matt and I knows that Tilly is the heart of our little family—when she hurts, we hurt. For nearly 10 years she’s been our joyful, wiggly, down-to-clown sidekick, joining us on endless foraging trips, campouts with friends, long road trips, and backyard hangs. She’s entertained, loved, and charmed just about everyone she’s ever met.
At first, we hoped that months of low activity would help her heal, but after a second opinion and a referral to a Sports Medicine Vet specialist in Hood River, we learned that surgery is the only way forward if we want Tilly back to her full, rough-and-tumble self.
She’s scheduled for surgery on October 9th, followed by an 8–12 week recovery with a halo and pins. While the road may be long, we’re fully committed to helping her through every step—and we cannot wait to see her back in the woods, running with her unstoppable ATPs (All Terrain Paws). She’s been terribly missed.
We are covering the cost of her surgery, but any donations here will go directly toward paying it off and supporting her recovery needs—things like ramps, carpets, and anything else to help her get around the house comfortably.
If you’re able to donate, we are so grateful. If not, sharing Tilly’s story or sending her a little extra love means the world to us. Thank you for being part of her recovery journey.
