Tillie Jo and Mommy_Daddy Expenses

Landrea and Devon live in Dallas, TX, Devon is law enforcement and Landy works in Mental Health.

8/31/2022 (From Joanne, Landy's Mom):
Today at 7 am, Tillie Jo took a turn for the worse, and we were told survivability was a slim 50%, and things were critical. Devon was home to start quarantining and rushed to the hospital while they rushed Landy and me down to be with baby; daddy got here quickly to be with her. Because of your prayers, within 35 mins, they told us there were slight improvements, and Tillie Jo would move to Cooks Children's Hospital for the best care. Because of this, Landy and Devon will need extra support than planned initially, excessive NICU bills, Hotel and Food stays, Dog Sitting bills, and additional care items for immediate needs. Baby will also need to be with Mommy when she comes home so this will help when she is no longer on disability and getting paid. We believe he is the "same God", "His steps are ordered," and Tillie Jo's test will change lives, touch hearts and stir faith like a mighty wind, just like he did with my miracle (Landy) 26 years ago. It takes a village, and if you would like to support this precious family, it is so appreciated!

8/30/2022 (From Landy):
Tillie Jo Blackmore made her appearance into this world on August 28, 2022, at 12:04 pm, weighing 1lb 13oz. She was born at 27 weeks and five days gestation.
Last week was tough for this momma as I was fighting fluish symptoms most of the week. I consistently got better to only get worse and made the decision Saturday evening to go get checked out at the hospital to make sure everything was okay with baby and I. We arrived at the hospital at 6 am on Sunday morning and were in an emergency C section by 11 am. I was diagnosed with a disease called HELLP syndrome, in which my body essentially begins to reject the baby, as evidenced by low platelet counts, elevated liver enzymes, and high blood pressure. The only treatment is to deliver baby and the placenta. My mom had the very same disease 26 years ago, and I was born at 31 weeks at 2lbs 14oz. With a previous surgery a few years ago, I also had an anesthetic complication in which my body had an unusual paralytic response and though we were not anticipating that this time, the anesthesia also paralyzed me, and I was put on a ventilator in the ICU a few hours following surgery. I also came back Covid +. Unfortunately, due to the Covid diagnosis even though I am not symptomatic at all, I am unable to meet Tillie until 10 days from her delivery so I will be able to meet her in person in the NICU next Tuesday. Devon briefly got to meet her right after she was born and when they learned I was Covid positive, he was informed that he will have to quarantine from me for 7 days which we will start today and test negative so he will also be able to see her next Tuesday as well in person.
Tillie Jo came out crying and feisty right away. She will be in the NICU for quite awhile but so far has done much better than we could’ve expected. They started her on a ventilator but she was able to tolerate it at the lowest setting and moved her to the CPAP machine instead now. She has been crying and showing her little personality already and her nurses have told us repeatedly how cute she is and we can’t believe how healthy she looks even at less than 2 lbs. Devon and I got to FaceTime her today and can watch her whenever we want on a video monitor.
We are incredibly overwhelmed with love and support. Family and friends have already rallied around to make sure we are taken care of. We are incredibly grateful to my work family at Hickory Trail Hospital and UHS and Devon’s work family at the Ellis County Sheriffs Office. We have had family here, friends come to help with Hutch, mow our lawn, bring food, sent flowers, etc. My mom is here as well and will be as long as we need. We have received so many texts and calls and are doing our best to respond but please know if we do not we are being bombarded at the moment and see every message and feel everyone’s love.
God’s faithfulness has been evident and every step has been ordered in this situation. We are weary but incredibly hopeful and know Tillie’s life is going to be the biggest testimony to God’s mighty hand. We have a long road ahead and hope that we can take our sweet girl home by Thanksgiving. We are overwhelmed with love and love our sweet little girl so much already
