August 23rd into the 24th it stormed violently. Which flooded not only the town but our house since our house sits in a lower area in town. Also our back yard turned into a pool. It destroyed our kitchen entry way and the living room. It then started flooding again the next day after another storm hit. This time was not as bad because my husband found one source of entry. But the other areas was because since we sit so low and our property does not sloo down the right way the water is seeping up through the foundation. We found also that the previous owner put the window in wrong and water is dripping into the wall also. One spot in foundation has been leaking water for years and the wood is rotted through. We have ripped up floors and drywall plus instillation. We are told one wall we have to raise up 8 inches and fix foundation plus waterproof inside wall and then repair drywall. We have to rip up our bathroom floor where's ground is lowest for a sump pump. We Also have to repair the outside of the house along with making the grade of ground lower around the house so the water goes down and away from the house versus from the yard into our house our house is sitting lower than the rest of the property. We will need new furniture and most likely new cupboards and countertops because the cupboards got what 8 in up just like everything else did. I hope I never have to do a GoFundMe say no so many people think of them but at this point with four kids and struggling to feed them and pay bills this has just hit us so hard we don't know how we're going to afford to fix it all we've been in the house only one and a half years. You are so happy to finally get a house and this happens. Plus a few weeks ago a tree fell on her house and we had to make a claim with insurance to get it removed and start to get some repairs on the roof. which they still have not come out to do They took the tree off but they haven't repaired the roof. We told our insurance about the flood and they said well we could give you a little bit of money for it to start getting material to fix it or down payment for a company to fix it but if you make this claim right after making the claim about the tree then come renewal time we will drop you and you're going to pay twice at the amount you're paying now with us to another insurance company. So of course we're barely making bills we're in such huge debt we can't afford to pay double what we pay for years and years to another company. So basically they forced her hand to not make a second claim and to find a way to do this on her own what they were willing to give us is not going to cover what we need to do They were willing to give us $5,000 we need much more than that. The reason I'm asking for just 5,000 now is I don't want to ask for more than we need so I will up the price as the fund as what we need becomes more. I have no clue what is going to all cost and the $5,000 is just a start repairing the house not even for furniture or anything else we need to start actually fixing our walls and floor. Our children are out of their mind having to basically live in their rooms and upstairs but they can't come downstairs it's not okay from them to be down there when people are working and stuff but we have literally no family no where else to go. So the faster we get this done the faster our children can resume normal life. I just cannot believe this has happened I know this kind of stuff happens all the time to other people but you just never really think it's going to be you especially just being the house for such a little bit of time you were just trying to relax into this house and be so happy that we were not tied to paying someone else rent and never knowing when we would be told to leave. I always like to try my best to take care of her own issues not ask others for help but this is just so far past what we can do. Expect anyone to want to offer money or put money into the fund. I was told this was my best option was to start to start a GoFundMe and allow people to help us out. It's not that my ego is so big that I don't want people to help I just don't want to offend people by asking. Or put our hopes up that we might get some home for our family and then not receiving any. I honestly can't get mad if we don't receive any help because everyone's struggling right now Life is hard for everyone. Also so many people who are devious creates fake GoFundMes. Which makes people's question if I go find me is real or not. If you can donate anything at all we would be extremely appreciative My children could finally get their house back and resume normal lives. As a mother all I want is for my kids to be happy and right now I'm struggling to be able to do that for them which is breaking my heart. If you can help think you if you can't help I understand.

As you can see we have a long road of repair plus more then we thought so to having to raise the wall and door to fix the water coming in. I want to find a way to post updates pictures as we fix it. If I can I will post them here. Thanks so much for reading our story.

So to be clear the funds is for our family we are from Harrow Ontario Canada. We will use it to buy materials to fix up our place (walls, floor, sump pump and outside property and to pay anyone for any services we need help with. If we have money left over then to buy a couch and bottom cupboards for kitchen.
