Tigers JFC - Break-In

Hi All

 

My name's Vish and I'll be running the U10's Tigers Yellow Team next season.

 

You might already know from Keith's message on the WhatsApp group that all of the containers were broken into and trashed with items stolen. Keith is still to assess the damage and work out what's been taken.

This has really upset all those connected with Tigers from parents, children, coaches and the local community. 

 

I've been in touch with Keith and Lisa about us setting up this GoFundMe page.  Being the selfless people they are, they said they were grateful for the gesture, but it wasn't needed. This is more than just about money it's our chance to give back.

 

Below is what I sent them both and I'm sure I'm not alone with the thoughts shared. I'm sure they won't mind me sharing

Hi Keith/ Lisa

 

Awful news about the container.

 

I know how much effort you both put into running Tigers along with many others but by a way of support and appreciation we will be setting up a Go-Fund Me page and we won't be taking no for an answer.

 

In times of adversity, situations like this only bring us all closer and going by the support in the group there is a willingness for all to help where we can.

 

You may have money in the bank to cover those items but that's not the point. You're selfless individuals in what you do and we're all in this together so I want to turn this negative into a positive so we all come out stronger for it.

 

I'll be setting up a GoFundMe page and we all know you'll put the funds to good use for the kids.

 

Keith let me know what's gone missing and what the replacement cost is.

 

Consider this as us giving back to you.

With Keith yet to work out the full extent of the losses I've set a target of £500, I'm sure Tigers will use that money to the benefit of all our kids as they always do.
