Tiger's Fight!

My name is Jillian Hatch, Stuart (Tiger) Bacon's daughter. Dad was diagnosed with ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) in 2022. This life-changing, chronic lung disease causes scarring on the lungs, making it difficult to breathe and get oxygen to the bloodstream. Within the short time of diagnosis, Tiger's lungs have deteriorated, making it difficult for him to walk from one room to another. The physical, and emotional toll this has taken on him and his family is profound. Always being a man who fixes it all, and lending a helping hand has brought Dad great joy in life. Watching someone you love and care about fighting for his life is unimaginable.

Dad's team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center has referred him to Mass General Hospital's Lung Transplant Program, in Boston, for rigorous testing beginning July,5th. The testing will require him and his wife, Melanie to travel and stay in Boston for days, weeks, and months.

This is just the beginning of a very arduous journey.

The funds raised for Dad will go toward medical expenses including housing, travel, and bills associated with this emotional and unknown journey.

Dad is humbled by the support, prayers, and love he has been shown. It has helped his strength through this process that much better.
