Help Tiger recover from pellet gun wounds

Hi :) my name is Monique- there’s a small colony of feral cats that live under a house I own in opelousas. I’m not often there, but when I do visit- I try to feed and care for them as best as I can. Opelousas has a major stray problem. There’s no real infrastructure here to deal with the problem, and honestly no one really seems to care that much on the local government side of things. It’s a total heart breaking bummer. This little kitty you see here is Tiger! She often visits when I come to town, and is super funny and friendly. If I’m working outside and leave the door open, she loves to sneak in! I’ll usually find her testing out one of the beds in the house. She is so loving and playful and honestly has the best personality of any kitty I’ve ever met. Last weekend when I came home, I found her limping- badly. Took her to the vet- and found out she had been shot several times with a pellet gun. Long story short- took her to a specialist and they put a plate in her little leg! I’ve also found a new home for her (I’m super maxed out on animals!!) and she will have a beautiful new life once she’s recovered. I’m setting up this go fund me in an effort to recoup some of the vet bills that were kinda crazy expensive -and to help catch the others and get them to the vet, find them homes etc.. The initial vet visit for Tiger was about $500 and the surgery was $4k. I’ll post updates on how she’s doing here! Her recovery will be about a month and a half! My sis has been helping a ton and is almost obsessed with her well being at this point ha. I already have another in the que! Her name is Tux! She’s the long hair kitty in the pics, and a good friend of Tigers :) currently inside awaiting a vet visit and then off to get new home at the beginning of the new year!
