Tiff’s cancer Journey
Donation protected
Once upon a time, many years ago, a young woman (in her late 40’s ) was diagnosed with an aggressive invasive Breast Cancer. She was a strong independent woman with a fierce determination for survival. She was ready to face the journey and do it all own. She believed she didn’t need anyone’s help and didn’t want to be a bother to anyone. so Bravely she started on her journey. Her best friend by her side.
Unbeknown to this lady, there were others, friends and family who wanted to help and didn’t know how.
where to start? What to do? What to say?
From the far north of Australia, another fiercely independent woman, almost a stranger to this woman with breast cancer, saw from afar what was happening. She rose to the challenge and with a mutual friend by her side started a “thing”. FUCKITYFUCKIT bands.
together they started a fundraiser selling the bands. The proceeds going to the lady with Breast Cancer.
The lady with Breast Cancer was overwhelmed with the love and support she received. She didn’t understand or know that there was so many people out there wanting to help. She was filled to the brim with the love and support she had. It helped her through her journey. The money raised went to complimentary therapies so she could heal her body from the onslaught of cancer treatment. But most of all it was care and encouragement that healed her soul.
6 years later, Breast cancer free, the lady hears whispers of her fundraising friend in QLD. Whispers that All may not be ok in her Heath. She was worried for her friend. On further investigations whispers became realities. My dear friend, one I still barely knew, was diagnosed with bowl cancer. She was on a path that I’d walked along. One that as much as I wanted to forget I still remembered.
It’s strange how this has gone a full circle. I still can’t believe it. What I do know is how much everyone’s words of encouragement helped me mentally, and how the financial contributions helped my body heal.
For those that can, any words of love and support, will be truly appreciated. Any donation big or small will help Tiff on this journey.
So much appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
BONUS.... I still have some “FUCKITYFUCKIT” bands.
I’d love to be able to send them out so you can wear them and show Tiff your support. Post pics. Send pics. It will fill her tank.
