Update # 3 (November 2018)
Hi Everyone, super EXCITED Tiffany here with a update!
It’s been a while since my last update and I wanted to let everyone know the good news! My recovery has been slow and steady, with gradual improvements to the range of motion on my right side. There’s still an imbalance from using my left side to compensate and my strength isn’t there yet, but I knew this process would take some time and I’m working hard every day to get better.
I’m looking forward to my next surgery which is only about two weeks away! I had the pre-operative appointment last week and my doctor cleared me for surgery! I’m so excited and grateful that I’m going to be “whole” again, if you know what I mean. Having something like this taken away from you changes everything, more than just your physical appearance. Not only do you have to worry about how clothes fit and how to hide your disfigurement, but also people - their stares, their questions. It really gets to you and affect all aspects of your life. My personal and social lives have been slim to none...
This has been a difficult journey for me and it’s far from over, which is why I need to ask for your help again. My next, and hopefully final, surgery is going to cost over $6,000. I’m doing everything I can, and I’m still struggling with over $32,000 of medical bills from earlier this year. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could offer!
I want everyone to know I haven’t stop thinking about you and your loved ones. I can’t wait to finally regain the freedom and revive my bubbly self.
I’d love for you to share your stores with me of your trials and tribulations and got how your pep back in your step. :)
With LOTS of love,
Tiffany

We're so close to the first milestone of $5,000! Your support is going a long way towards all of the medical expenses which are now totaling over $32,000, and are helping make a dent in the first set of payments. Tiffany is so grateful for your love and kindness.
We ask that you please share Tiffany's story, in hopes that it will help and encourage others.

Tiffany has been living in intense pain for over four years. She's been unable to use her right arm to lift anything, and it came to the point where breathing itself was painful. She was finally able to have a capsulectomy to rid herself of the hurtful scar tissue.
Unfortunately, this surgery left her in even more pain than before. Any movement on her right side caused agonizing pain, and her head pounded unlike anything before.

Just three weeks after her surgery, Tiffany had to be taken to the emergency room where they found a very large mass behind her breast. She then had to be transferred, by ambulance, over an hour away to a hospital which had the necessary surgeon to consult. To make matters worse, she was moved to the ICU, because her fever spiked to a life-threatening level and the doctors believed she was turning septic.

Thankfully, they were able to schedule her for emergency surgery in the morning and remove a massive, infected hematoma. After several long ambulance rides, hours in emergency rooms, four days in the hospital, and a lengthy life-saving surgery Tiffany is finally on the road to recovery. What you might not know, however, is that this hospital stay and surgery was the icing on the cake after having surgery two months prior for endometriosis.

She URGENTLY needs your financial help. The amount of medical expenses are staggering and to make matters worse, she has to have another surgery in 6 months. We need help and it’s hard to ask. But a big lesson we've learned is that it's as important to ask for help as it is to give it.
Finally, we are so incredibly grateful to the doctors and staff at both UNC and Johnston Health Care, and all of our family and friends for your love and support. If we didn't have Johnston's firm recommendations and UNC's outstanding care, we likely wouldn't have Tiffany with us today.
Thank you for reading.
Please take a moment to share this on Facebook or by email, and any help you are able to offer is deeply and sincerely appreciated. Tiffany's situation is urgent, and with your help, she can put this behind her.
