Tiffany’s life altering surgery and recovery.

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My mom has been battling a debilitating chronic illness for the past three years, and the toll it has taken on her health and her life has been overwhelming. She has been in and out of the hospital nearly every single week, enduring pain and uncertainty with incredible strength and grace.

Just this week, she had to make the heartbreaking decision to step away from her job because her body simply can’t keep up anymore. Her doctors have scheduled a major surgery to entirely remove her colon and either reroute her small intestine or give her an ileostomy bag which will be extremely life-changing — but also this comes with a long road to recovery. This bag will be located on the outside of her stomach and will collect waste from her small intestine, completely changing the way her body functions. While this life-saving procedure will improve her health in the long run, it comes with a difficult recovery and lifelong adjustments.

She will be out of work for at least five months as she heals and adjusts to this new chapter in her life.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial stress is immense. With bills piling up, medical costs, loss of income and supplies to keep up on her ileostomy bag.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to help relieve some of that burden so my mom can focus on what matters most — healing. Any amount helps and will go directly toward covering her medical expenses, household bills, and basic living needs while she’s unable to work.
