Hi my name is Tifa and I am in need of help. My husband of 19 years has been controlling, abusive and narcissistic for many years and I finally stood up to him about it all. He has lied and slandered me and because I said I wanted a divorce and the girls to be with me he said he would kill himself if we left him. He also said that I wouldn’t be able to escape because he is the breadwinner and I don’t do anything. I have done everything around the house cleaning cooking laundry baking I take care of my girls and homeschool them. I sculpt and sell stuff on ebay. I have applied for disability and it can come through any week now. On May 20th, 2023 at noon he had his parents, Stephen and Donna Rouse, and my mother, Melissa Knight, gang up on me and verbally attacked me saying if I didn’t admit myself to the hospital then they would baker act me. Said it was “tough love”. While they were cornering me and accusing me of lying they had Josh’s sister, Kassie Harris, who is married to a judge here she came in our home and snuck my babies out and stole them and my car. I called the cops and they came but they left and said since we lived together he could take them and my car. My girls are 3 and 7 and I haven’t been away from my 3 year old for more than a few hours and now they’ve been taken from me and I haven’t seen them since Saturday the 20th at noon. On Monday, May 22nd, 2023 around 6pm he had me Baker Acted and put into the back of a cop car with handcuffs on. I got out on Friday, May 26th, and was deemed sane as we already knew and I still haven’t heard or seen my babies it’s been over a week now. Please help me with anything you can I need to get them back and I don’t have many people I can trust here. They said I lied about him making me get an abortion. They said he’s lost weight and been ill and it’s my fault. They picked on me about my disabilities said I don’t do anything but sit around the house, yet just weeks prior and all these years they always praise me for how good of a mommy I am and how smart they are and how healthy and well taken care of my babies are. I do everything for them. When I stepped outside went to the front yard to wait for the cop Saturday his mother and mine said “Oh she’s going into the road. Looks like she’s a danger to herself!!” Then looked at each other and laughed. I was standing barefoot in the grass and was appalled. I have been living walking on eggshells for so long trying to avoid conflict with him and then I recently set boundaries and started pouring my energy into myself instead of him and I started flourishing. I have degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis in my joints, anxiety, PCOS, me/cfs, peripheral neuropathy in my feet, chronic pain, scoliosis, restless leg syndrome, sciatica, high blood pressure from the anxiety and pain as well as migraines and endometriosis. When they were verbally assaulting me they said I was faking my disability and that it doesn’t take 7 years to get on disability. They said I was lying about his assault and since I never reported it due to shame and confusion that it didn’t happen. He has been gaslighting me for years and I feel like I’m the last one to see this. I feel betrayed on so many accounts but I have not given up and have fought for so long and now they’re doing this. It has been extremely traumatic. They have my babies even though I’m the primary caretaker, my meds, my motorized wheelchair, my clothes, braces, cane, disability placard, my car, my everything. Please help any way you can. I will use the funds to cover possible lawyer fees, utilities, bills, food, glasses, shelter if necessary and whatever else needed to get things fixed so we can move on with our lives.
