Meet Tiffany! Not only is she a wife, a daughter, a sister, a pediatric nurse, and an amazing mother, she is also a breast cancer survivor! For everyone that has had the pleasure of meeting her, you already know just how incredible she is! Tiffany was first diagnosed with breast cancer 8 years ago when she was just 26 years old and a newlywed. She had a bilateral mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery and endured a year of chemo treatments. Through it all she persevered with her unwavering faith and positive attitude and beat cancer and she has since been using her story to inspire others and bring God all the glory!
After the recent birth of her second daughter, she spent her entire maternity leave with persistent respiratory infections and shortness of breath. After multiple doctor visits it was discovered that the breast cancer has once again returned but this time in her lung. She has already had several procedures done to drain fluid out of her lungs, had her port placed and started chemo treatments. She has been given a positive prognosis but she will need at least six months of chemo as of right now.
While the emotional and physical battle is immeasurable, the financial cost of fighting this ugly disease is also extremely heavy. Since her first recovery Tiffany and her husband Kurt have been working hard to pay for all the past medical treatments and even now some bills are still looming. Now they will face the impending cost of a second battle while also providing for their girls ages 3 years old and 6 months.
We all know someone that has been affected by cancer and that no one beats it all alone. It takes a village of support to rise up against this evil that has already taken the lives of so many. I have created this GoFundMe for Tiffany in hopes that we can all come together to help carry the weight of her journey. While we can not physically fight it for her, we can be giving of our prayers and monetary donations. Tiffany is one of the most caring and giving people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Working along side her at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta was a privilege and I got to see first hand what an amazing nurse and mother she is. There was never a day at work she didn't make us all laugh because she is also one of the funniest and sassiest people you will meet as well.
I ask you to please join with me by giving and sharing this post as much as possible to help this incredible woman beat cancer for a SECOND time and allow this world to be blessed for many years to come with this optimistic, sassy, determined, professional selfie taking mother named Tiffany Kinkead! We Love You Tiffy!!
