On behalf of the team members and residents of Deerfield retirement, this is a contribution to a devoted coworker, mother, daughter, and friend! Tiffany Hegarty, one of the hardest working, determined women out there, suffered from a stroke in the early morning hours of January 29th, 2021. Unfortunately, she has suffered one of the worst strokes a person can indure, and the road to recovery will be a long and tiresome one, but if anyone can do it, it is Tiff!! She has severe damage to the left side of her brain as well as some swelling, so they removed the left side of her skull to enable her brain to swell freely, without causing anymore damage. Eventually they will put the piece they removed, back. The next week will just be allowing her to rest so she can heal and recover. After that they will start taking her off sedation to see what permanent or temporary damage it has caused. We know she can move both feet and her right hand. The Dr. said he thinks her primary issues will be using her left hand, speaking and understanding. After they can lower sedation we will be able to see if she can talk, walk, and what she understands on her own.
Tiffany's family have so much on their plate as they work to manage the bills, and maintain a strong faith in this long road ahead. She is resilient in so many ways. She will get through this, with our prayers and her strong will. This campaign is set up so that "WHEN" (not if) she wakes and heels, she will not have the stress of enormous medical bills on her plate. This will give her the ability to make up for the lost time with family and friends. So lets rally together as a community, as friends, and as family, to care for her as she has given her life to selflessly care for others.
Tiffany is the type of person who would give the shirt off her back, just so someone else may have it easier. Tiffany lives, eats and breathes family. Her hard work everyday isn't for her own happiness, but instead because she wants the best for her family and loved ones.
At the end of the day, we must all remember that God is the one who can perform miracles and if we put our faith in him, nothing is impossible. Tiffany will come through this with a miraculous story. A story that will touch everyone, and then once again, she will be making a difference in other peoples lives, just as she always has done!!!!
Tiffany, we cannot wait to show you what a miracle you are! Where there is hope, there is Faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen! We Love you Tiffany! We are ALL here for you! We will all fight with you!
