Tiffanie’s Leukemia Journey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aubrey, and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my mom Tiffanie, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

If you are lucky enough to know her, you would know that my mom has touched a multitude of hearts, and has given to the community for years. I want to help return the favor to her by helping her fight through this great challenge. She exudes strength, and courage. I, along with many others, look to her for support and a shoulder to lean on. She continuously supports others without expecting anything in return. Even from her hospital room these last few weeks, she has been the glue that holds our family together. My mom has been a safety net in our family my whole life, now we are shifting our support to her.

Tiffanie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia the week of Halloween. She has just finished her first round of chemotherapy, and we are all hoping that another won’t be necessary. As we learn more and more about her treatment and what’s to come in these next few months, our family will continue looking toward the future with positive attitudes.
That being said, we don’t know what the next year will look like. She’ll be going from SkyRidge hospital in Lone Tree, to Anschutz/UC Health in Aurora to do Stem Cell Transplant after a few weeks’ respite at home. The SCT process will be intense, and she’ll need to remain there at the hospital for what looks to be 4-6 weeks.

Mom is 100% unable to work whatsoever until the SCT has been completed and she’s back up and running. That could be a year away.

Dad will need to be there with her for MUCH of that time. He’ll need to bring his work laptop to the hospital with him in order to work remotely while he is there with her.

The SCT is the only path forward for Mom and it has the possibility of being a very harsh and difficult process; it is possible that her body could not receive it well. If that happens there is typically a long period of sickness, soreness, pain and a few other unpleasant things.

My brother Luke is in high school, and my two other siblings Alex and Jaden live close to their schools, while I am living with Mom and Dad, working two jobs and helping out with anything I can.

The future looks very different these days for our family- especially for her, but we can only hope that she does not have to worry about us, her job, Dad’s job, or anything else except just focusing on getting better.

If you are willing and able to help whatsoever, me and the rest of my family would be eternally grateful.

Thank you,

The Jessop Family
