1/6/2025 update
Hi all, we are so thankful for the support we have received. It’s been almost a month since Anthony was assaulted and we have been healing and adjusting. We are widening our donation goal for a few reasons but the first being that this journey is nowhere near over. Anthony has reconstructive surgery today and faces another month of healing and recovery- which ultimately means more time out of work. Rent is paid for December and January, but there are still bills and daily costs of life. Thank you for anything you can donate and happy new year!!!

Hi all, my name is Tiff and I live in Portland, Maine with my partner Ant. Last night, he was pretty intensely wounded during a confrontation with an unhoused person that was urinating on our apartment. They had a scuffle and ultimately attempted to gouge out my partner's left eye. Ant and I both work two jobs, but he’s down for the count for at least a little while. We are a little nervous about what the next months will hold as Ant heals his eye and potentially gets ready for surgery. We don’t know the timeline of returning to work or what kind of support he might need from me.
Right now, we are asking for funding to support us for about two months rent which is about 1500/month. Our apartment is unfortunately the location of the assault, so moving might be in our future as well. But that’s a stressor for another day post healing. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
