Liebe Freunde,
seit 1990 arbeite ich für unsere Tiere und immer wieder auch Kinder durch Projekte und Filme. Schon seit Beginn lege ich einen Fokus auf Tiertransporte, ein Thema, auf das ich damals durch Filmarbeiten auf Schlachthöfen gestoßen bin.
Es handelt sich immer um Projekte mit einem hohen finanziellen und manchmal auch gesundheitlichen Risiko. Oft muss für Bilder von Tieren und Informationen, die der Öffentlichkeit verborgen bleiben sollen, investigativ gearbeitet werden, nicht selten in Ländern und an Orten, die schwer zugänglich sind.
Das ist immer ein hoher Aufwand, Fehlversuche sind Teil des Ganzen. Wenn etwas gelingt, entsteht daraus meistens ein Film. Dann ist Fairness ein Prinzip von mir, auch gegenüber jenen, die anders denken über den Umgang mit Tieren, als ich.
Das hat sich bewährt. Immer wieder wurden Gesetze zum Tiertransport verbessert. In anderen Fällen, etwa beim Handel mit Hunde- und Katzenfellen, kam es nach mehreren Projekten zu einem Embargo in den USA, Australien und Europa, das nach wie vor gilt. Eine Zusammenarbeit mit weltweiten NGO´s zum Wohl unserer Tiere ist dabei natürlich selbstverständlich - Nichts ist allein mein Verdienst.
Im Tierschutz ist kontinuierliche Arbeit wichtig, wenn wir etwas erreichen möchten, über viele Jahre hinweg - deshalb auch der hohe Zielbetrag, der natürlich nicht erreichbar ist. Doch auch kleine Schritte führen zum Ziel, die Welt für unsere Tiere etwas besser zu machen.
Durch die Explosion in einem Hafen im Nahen Osten hat ein laufendes und ohnehin finanziell nicht abgesichertes, großes Projekt zu Tiertransporten einen Rückschlag erlitten. Ein Mitglied des Teams ist schwer verletzt worden, sämtliche Ausrüstung und das Fahrzeug sind zerstört - und Hilfe ist dringend.
Deshalb, und um generell am Thema Tiertransporte weiterarbeiten zu können, wähle ich diesen ungewöhnlichen Weg und freue mich über jede auch noch so kleine Unterstützung. Danke dafür!

since 1990 I have been working for our animals and again and again for children through projects and films. Right from the start I have focused on animal transport, a topic that I came across when I was working on films at slaughterhouses.
These are always projects with a high financial and sometimes health risk. Often, investigative work has to be carried out for images of animals and information that are to remain hidden from the public, not infrequently in countries and in places that are difficult to access.
That is always a lot of effort, failed attempts are part of the whole. When something works, it usually turns into a film. Then fairness is a principle of mine, also towards those who think differently about dealing with animals than I do.
That has proven itself. Animal transport laws have been improved again and again. In other cases, such as the trade in dog and cat fur, after several projects there was an embargo in the USA, Australia and Europe, which still applies. A cooperation with worldwide NGOs for the welfare of our animals is a matter of course - nothing is solely my merit.
In animal welfare, continuous work is important if we want to achieve something over many years - hence the high target amount, which of course cannot be achieved. But even small steps lead to the goal of making the world a little better for our animals.
Due to the explosion in a port in the Middle East, an ongoing and already financially unsecured, large project for animal transport suffered a setback. A member of the team was seriously injured, all equipment and the vehicle were destroyed.
Therefore, and in order to be able to continue working on the subject of animal transport in general, I choose this unusual route and I am happy about any support, no matter how small. Thanks so much for that!

depuis 1990, je travaille pour nos animaux et encore et encore pour les enfants à travers des projets et des films. Depuis le début, je me suis concentré sur le transport des animaux, un sujet que j'ai rencontré lorsque je travaillais sur des films dans les abattoirs.
Ce sont toujours des projets à haut risque financier et parfois sanitaire. Souvent, des travaux d'investigation doivent être menés pour des images d'animaux et des informations qui doivent rester cachées au public, pas rarement dans des pays et dans des endroits difficiles d'accès.
C'est toujours beaucoup d'efforts, les tentatives infructueuses font partie de l'ensemble. Quand quelque chose fonctionne, cela se transforme généralement en film. Ensuite, l'équité est un de mes principes, également envers ceux qui pensent différemment de la façon dont je traite les animaux.
Cela a fait ses preuves. Les lois sur le transport des animaux ont été améliorées à maintes reprises. Dans d'autres cas, comme le commerce de la fourrure de chien et de chat, après plusieurs projets, il y avait un embargo aux États-Unis, en Australie et en Europe, qui s'applique toujours. Une coopération avec des ONG mondiales pour le bien-être de nos animaux est une évidence - rien n’est uniquement mon mérite.
Dans le domaine du bien-être animal, un travail continu est important si nous voulons réaliser quelque chose sur de nombreuses années - d'où le montant cible élevé, qui ne peut bien sûr pas être atteint. Mais même de petits pas mènent à l'objectif de rendre le monde un peu meilleur pour nos animaux.
En raison de l'explosion dans un port du Moyen-Orient, un grand projet en cours et déjà financièrement non sécurisé pour le transport d'animaux a subi un revers. Un membre de l'équipe a été grièvement blessé, tout le matériel et le véhicule ont été détruits.
Par conséquent, et afin de pouvoir continuer à travailler sur le sujet du transport animal en général, je choisis cette voie insolite et je me réjouis de tout accompagnement, aussi petit soit-il. Merci pour ça!
