The traffic triangle at 15th Ave S & S Pearl St can be a defining signifier of neighborhood.
For the last several years, I've been personally overseeing the small property: picking up litter and funding landscape maintenance on the traffic triangle to ensure that it doesn't become overgrown with invasive vegetation.
With the encouragement of neighbors, I'm excited to open up a call for funding to help upkeep the property for the period of Jan 2024 - Jan 2026.
Here are my suggested fundraising goals:
- $2,500: Funding for mowing and weeding for Jan 2024 - Jan 2026. Keeping the property as-is and litter-free.
- $3,500: Foundational improvements to the landscape: filling ruts left by car tires, leveling out troublesome footing.
- $5,000+: Establishment of an ongoing beautification project: more trees (not to be removed by SDOT), establishment of native vegetation, signage, public art, etc.
As local residents, you walk, bike and drive by this property every day. This is your opportunity to pitch in a few bucks to help make part of the neighborhood a bit more beautiful.
