Tidewater Winds is a professional, non-profit concert band based in Hampton Roads, VA. We provide a diverse repertoire of music as well as education programs. Under the direction of Maestro John Brewington, we perform free concerts every summer and welcome your participation as volunteers, supporters, donors and audience members. The Reading in Music Education program serves 3rd grade students with in-school lessons, docent musicians, and student books that correlate to the final production of our main-stage student matinee concerts at Sandler and Norfolk State to enhance reading, social, communication, and music skills for young people in Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton and Virginia Beach.
