Griffith Film School Presents: TIDAL – A 12-Minute Horror/Dark Comedy Short Film
Hi everyone! We are a team of passionate, emerging filmmakers from Griffith Film School, and we are excited to share our upcoming project with you — TIDAL, a 12-minute horror/dark comedy short film written and directed by Carrie Biddle and produced by Elizabeth Solomon.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support in bringing our creative vision to life!
About the Film
At its core, TIDAL is a powerful story about identity, transformation, and self-acceptance. It follows Nia, a former siren who once longed for a human life. She found that life — and love — with Oswald, the man she thought was her soulmate.
But recently, Nia’s true nature has begun to resurface. She’s undergoing a series of intense surgeries to maintain her human form — the final one meant to remove her scales, the last symbol of the creature she once was. As she stands on the edge of losing the last piece of her original self, Nia must decide between returning to the world she came from or staying in the one she’s created.
TIDAL is about embracing who you really are rather than staying as something you are not to adhere to outside forces. It's bold, weird, beautiful — and deeply personal.
Why We Need Your Help
