Ariela and Roxana's home was hit with the tornado that occurred on Saturday, 6/6/2020 and they need help in order to find new housing and pay for any damages, that they may be responsible for.
Roxana lost her job in June of 2019 and Ariela has been the only breadwinner for the household since then.
COVID-19 caused Ariela to be placed on a leave of absence from both of her jobs in March of 2020. Additionally, in the two and a half months shes been out of work, she has not received a dime of unemployment from the state of Florida.
While the tornadoes didn’t cause any major damage to their part of the building, other than their patio being completely gone and a couple broken windows, the landlord has yet to assess any water damage. Additionally, two of their neighbors who are attached to their house have lost their roofs entirely, meaning there will be MORE water damage until everything is fixed.
After a brief look, it was determined that the house they are in has no hurricane ties and all of the windows are single pane. Hurricane season is coming up and we fear that the house will not make it through it this year.
The money will pay off the several months of rent that they owe due to COVID-19, any damages that they may have to pay, moving fees (including a deposit and first months rent,) and additional expenses that are unknown at this time.
Understandably, there is a pandemic going on, but any dime helps. Please help if you can.
On behalf of the Tice family, your donations are very much appreciated. Ariela will have direct access to the withdrawal features.
Best,
