Tibet in the WorldFootballCup 2018

I admit I have a great passion for football and especially towards the Tibetan National Football Team. Im their biggest fan despite the fact that Tibet is no 227 on the World Ranking list (out of 238 teams).

I followed the Tibetan National Team during the last 18 years, since their international debut against Greenland in 2001. I watched Lobsang "Lobo" Norbu score the first international goal, I travelled across continents just to watch Tibet being kicked out of the first round in a local tournament, not to mention the first 5 year without a single victory! Being a football fan of Tibet is a great adventure, because for me it's not about winning or lossing, it's about never giving up, no matter how much oppression your are exposed to. 

Now the Tibetan National Football Team is on the verge of creating history. For the first time in history Tibet is participating in the World Football Cup in 2018. Not the FIFA version in Russia, but the alternative World Cup, organized by CONIFA, the Confederation of Independent Football Associations whom embrace the outcast among football cultures, like Tibet.

I will take place in London 31st May - 9th June 2018 and Tibet will play against Abkhazia, Northern Cyprus and Felvidek in the group stage.

Tibet might not win the World Cup, but I initiated this fundraising campaign, to support and incourage the Tibetan National Team to make history in London and at the same time fight for the Tibetan culturel heritage on the football pitch.  All funds will go straight to the Tibetan National Sports Association, improving not only the Men's team but also the Tibetan Women's team.
