Tiberius Jones: MRI needed for further diagnosis!

Donation protected
Hello my name is Gabrielle Clements and I am a senior in college. I adopted my dog Tiberius in January of 2014 and he has been my best friend ever since. He is a Plott hound mix and has never had any major medical problems in the past and I know he still has 4 or 5 more years left in him. He has been through thick and thin with me and moved to Colorado with me when I went to college. He is 9 years old now but still a very healthy dog. Recently he injured his back and it has quickly led to him losing function in his back legs. The vet took an X-ray and saw that one disk in his spine is herniated (potentially) and gave us medication to help the swelling go down so he could recover. Instead of getting better, Tiberius has gotten much worse. He is no longer able to walk or go to the bathroom. After a second emergency visit to the vet I was told that he needs an MRI to see what is actually wrong with him so that we can move forwards with surgery, medication, or physical therapy. I can not afford the MRI or vet visits that come after. If we can not figure out what is wrong, we may have to put him down if his suffering gets worse... I am hoping to reach the goal of $8,000 to get the MRI needed for a diagnoses and for the treatment to get my baby boy back in tip-top shape. He has a neurological exam on Monday the 13th and if we can gather enough donations for the MRI then we will be able to get it done the same day. Getting the MRI ASAP is important because if he goes too long without treatment he could lose control of his back, bladder, and bowels due to his spinal cord being crushed from inflammation and cause more complications such bladder infections and UTI's. My parents have help me so much through this, but as my fellow animal owners know, the vet is VERY expensive he requires a lot of medical attention. Anything helps and I do not expect anything from anyone, but we would greatly appreciate any donation. If you have met my Tiberius, then you know he has touched the hearts of many many people, he is the sweetest and most calm dog in the world as well as overly polite at times! Please share the link on social media if you can and help spread the word to help Tiberius recover and make it 4 or 5 more years!
