Donate to help Tiara Fry win her fight with cancer xx

The girls in Year11 at OSG Northampton would like to help their friend Tiara in her fight to beat cancer and the huge costs associated with it.
Tiara has her surgery booked for Friday 2nd May 2025 at MD Anderson. This is costing in the region of 80,000 USD. Prayers for her full recovery and skill for the medical team would be greatly valued. xx

Here is her story:

Hello! My name is Tiara, and I am 16 years old. First of all, I want to thank you for checking out this donation page, it means so, so much! I have recently been diagnosed with Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma. This is extremely rare for people my age, and it can not be treated with drugs such as chemo (it will not respond). Therefore, the only way to get rid of this 'blob' is to have surgery to remove my whole kidney. The problem is that the NHS hospitals in the UK do not specialise in this cancer for pediatrics, and the wait for the surgery is a very long time. Because this cancer cant be treated if it spreads, speed is very important. That leaves us with one option, to have surgery in USA in Houston, at the world-renowned cancer hospital, MD Anderson. However, this costs a lot of money to complete, as American health care is extremely expensive. Please help me get rid of my 'blob'. Xx Tiara

Background

In February, earlier this year, a growth was discovered on Tiara's right kidney, which was suspected to be cancerous, but a biopsy would be needed to verify it. She was advised to get a 2nd opinion before having the biopsy. However, they were unable to get one in the UK. This meant that Tiara had to travel to America to get a 2nd opinion from the world-renowned cancer hospital, MD Anderson, in Houston, Texas.
During March, the team at MD Anderson confirmed the growth to be cancerous and carried out a biopsy that diagnosed the growth to be Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma, which is very rare in children/young adults. This type of cancer does not have a cure and does not respond well to the typical cancer treatments available, but if the whole kidney can be removed without spreading any cancer cells the survival rate is greatly increased.
It was initially thought that Tiara would be able to have the surgery in the UK under the NHS. However, this turned out to be a misunderstanding, and it has not been possible.
Her only chances were back in Houston at MD Anderson, where the surgeon has kindly shifted her schedule to fit in Tiara's nephrectomy surgery on Friday, 2nd May.

The beneficiary of the money raised will be Tiara's parents, Shaun & Cheryl Fry, and all the money raised will be used to help pay for Tiara's surgery and treatment costs at MD Anderson.
To date, the cost of diagnosis and treatment will be in excess of 150K

Lastly, THANK YOU for all donations received so far. They have been incredible!!!
Words can't express how much this will be truly appreciated. Every donation is more than just money. It also represents a depth of love and kindness that can't be measured with a price tag!

The Y11 girls responsible for this GoFundMe page are both friends and relatives of Tiara wishing her lots of love and a speedy recovery ❤‍
