Tiara Dos Santos Legacy Fund

After a 10-day battle in the ICU, on March 17th 2023, our sweet Tiara passed away.

Tiara was a kind, amazing, thoughtful person who was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She supported the dreams of everyone around her and was the life of any party. She was always her unfiltered, incredible self, and could lift everyone’s spirits. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, friend, and soon to be wife. Our world is dimmer without her presence and our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss.

Tiara had many dreams for her life, and while she’s no longer here to see them come true, we want to keep her legacy alive through her dreams that are still possible.

Tiara leaves behind her wise, ambitious son, Kauwan, who is about to graduate high school and be the first member of his family to attend college. He has an incredible mind and a level of emotional intelligence that is rare for most adults, let alone 17-year-olds. We want to show him all the support we can so he can continue on this path and go to college, though he now walks this road without his biggest cheerleader by his side.

Tiara also leaves behind her wonderful, hardworking mother, Wilza, who immigrated from Brazil. At the time of her passing, Tiara was in the final stages of obtaining US citizenship, which would’ve led to her mother’s citizenship as well. Tiara had hoped that this would provide her mother the opportunity for a better, more sustainable, less physically taxing job as she gets older.

With this sudden loss, we want to make sure Tiara’s dreams can still happen to some extent. With your support, these are two things we are looking to accomplish for Tiara’s family:

1. Set up a college fund for her son Kauwan so that his future can be as bright as she knew it could be.

2. Hire an immigration lawyer to help Wilza finish obtaining her US citizenship.

Aside from getting married and having more children with her fiancé, Albie, Tiara was completely dedicated to Kauwan’s future, Wilza’s citizenship, and making Wilza’s life easier after the sacrifices she made for Tiara.

We know Albie will be providing as much as he can to this cause, but any additional support for Tiara’s goals and dreams, though she can no longer see them out, would be greatly appreciated.
