Tianna has struggled with a rare kidney disease called Alport syndrome for her entire life - in and out of hospitals battling kidney failure, and after the birth of her first child, was officially diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease as a result of kidney failure and has been placed on dialysis for pretty much the duration of her daughter’s life. For Tianna, a new kidney means a life with fewer medical needs, more energy for herself and her family, an end to the daily fatigue and nausea, less pain, no more dialysis or painful drains, lower blood pressure, no more infusions, no more diet restrictions, no more bad days, and so much more. In her words, "a new kidney will change my life but also my daughter's. I am a new mother and my daughter deserves me at my full potential." The disease has taken a physical and mental toll, and as she waited for her prayers to be answered, she began to lose hope and at times wanted to give up. Tianna prayed for strength every day while waiting for a kidney donor, and on Christmas morning, she was blessed with this miraculous news from the most amazing woman and her family.

The wait for a kidney has finally come to an end! Tianna has been approved for transplant surgery after this incredible woman, Bilma, volunteered to undergo all medical testing required and was determined to be a match! Thanks to this woman whose path crossed our families by the grace of God, her enormous heart, and selfless decision, Tianna will be receiving the most incredible life-saving gift. Bilma, you are a testament that there are good people in this world, prayers do get answered, and GOD IS GOOD. By the grace of God, your family paths crossed with ours, and you are a gift beyond expression. On behalf of our family, we cannot thank you enough for this selfless act, for helping save Tianna's life, for giving her a chance to be one step closer to a life free from sickness, where she can fully embrace motherhood without the daily pain hovering over her. You are a prayer answered, an angel sent, and there will never be enough words to express our gratitude.
