Tia is preparing for brain surgery — a major operation that will require weeks of recovery and rehabilitation. She’s a devoted mom to her 2yr old son, Noah, and her biggest concern isn’t simply herself — it’s making sure Noah is cared for and that their home life stays steady through this season.

On October 22nd, she will undergo neurosurgery at UVA Health to remove a primary brain tumor called a meningioma. Insurance covers the procedure, but not the many expenses that pile up around it: copays, prescriptions, medical supplies, gas for hospital trips, and therapies she’ll need afterward.
