Tia and Andria: Time to Rebuild
Donation protected
In the early morning of Monday, April 19, the beloved Brooklyn Park fashion shop Top 2 Bottom was broken into and all the merchandise was covered in gasoline and parts burned. Not so far from the protests at the police murder of Daunte Wright. This Black-owned business is a total loss.
While the violence is still under investigation, I am reminded of the businesses destroyed by white supremacists trying to whip up anger and take the attention off the central issue.
Tia and Andria will not be able to rebuild without the community leaning in. The gap between what the insurance can offer and what the actual cost to start anew is simply too wide. Please chip in as you are able so that we can ensure this small Black owned business is not lost for good.
