First of all, I don't know who this 'John' character is. My name is Jay. Normally I wouldn't start something like this, but I'm in a bit of a predicament.

A couple of weeks ago, I had an unlucky crash while riding dirt bikes in North Carolina. Basically, a small mistake sent me and the bike cartwheeling. At some point during our gymnastics routine, the bike tackled me and snapped my femur clean in half.
Now, the reason for this post...
I have accident/injury insurance that I figured would cover anything that could happen while doing any 2-wheeled action (based on the average cost of my previous injuries). However, the price tag on this one got out of control pretty quickly. Due to the location of the track, I had to take an ambulance to the nearest fire station, where they picked me up in a helicopter to fly me to the nearest trauma center. The surgeon put me back together the following morning, but a few minor complications forced me to stay in the hospital for the next 7 days.
Heli rides and extended hospital vacations are not known for being budget-friendly. I haven't received all bills yet, but I expect the total cost (after the injury insurance coverage and my savings) to be faaaar north of $10,000.
If you're in a position to chip into the Ti-Leg fund, any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you aren't able to donate, a share on Facebook/Instagram/whatever would be amazing.
